Forró: Brazilian Dance Course (Week 10)
November 26 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm£5.00
Latin America Arts & Culture Community UK (LA-ACC), supported by Exeter Community Together, invites you to come and dance with us as part of our twelve-week Brazilian dance course.
From absolute beginners to the confident and coordinated, this course is suitable for all. You will discover the basic steps of Forró, its various rhythms and advanced figures. By the end of the course, you will be able to lead or follow an improvised dance learned during your twelve weeks and you will possess the principles to go even further.
At the end of the twelve weeks, LA-ACC will be hosting a party with live Forró music and will be opening up the dancefloor for you to show what you have learned. This will be a great opportunity to invite friends & family to experience Forró and for you to mix with the greater community of Forró dancers in the UK. Live music will be performed by the popular band Forrobamba who will be making a special trip from London for the event.
Meet the teacher.
Jonathan teaches regularly in London and has made many guest-teacher appearances throughout the UK. With 7 years of Forró dancing experience, Jonathan has travelled across Brazil and Europe to seek out the best that Forró has to offer and enrich his teaching. His patient approach and attention to detail mean you’ll be in safe hands throughout your time on the course. He’ll be with you every dance-step of the way!
£60 for the full 12-week course which includes entrance to the party or £5 per session.
To reserve your place or to enquire about becoming a member of LA-ACC please send your contact details to firstname.lastname@example.org or contact us on 07734357771 or download the form here.
