A More Positive Me CIC project working with people impacted by domestic and/or sexual abuse through art and various expressions to share what worked for them in the support they received.

This will be put together in a short film, which will be launched at Exeter Phoenix, entered into short film competitions and used in education programs for services delivered throughout Devon and possibly further.

To find out more & how to get involved please email: sbaproject@morepositiveme.co.uk

They invite you to contribute in variety of ways. Coming together to share positive feedback, what worked well & what good looks like, through art, poetry etc any way that survivors would like to share in our Strength Based Approach Film, with the use of actors, or speakers where people feel more comfortable in sharing.

  • In sessions: They are hosting a number of sessions where local artist Nicci Wonnacott, during which a collaborative piece of artwork will be created. Whilst doing this there will be time to hear and share stories together and indicate if and how they may be later recorded as part of the film making.
  • With art work: They invite you to share visual art and poems on the theme of ‘a positive difference’
  • Online feedback: They would love to hear your suggestions, insights and stories of experiences – big or small – on the qualities and skills that professionals need.

They are gathering these stories over ‘16 days of action’ – which runs from 25th November to the 10th December.
